Odin Motorcycles started as an idea to build a motorbike faster off the mark than any production motorbike currently available on the market.
It made sense to make it electric, because with the instant torque of an electric motor there is no gasoline motor that can compete.
At this stage we have completed a full-scale model of the motorbike and are currently looking for investors to help us achieve our goal to put this beast into production.
Battery powered motorbikes are not only a clean alternative to gasoline, but also provides superior torque and performance. We aim to build the fastest production road bike on the market, electrical or gasoline.
The battery is Li-ion, which currently provides the best weight to energy ratio and is ecapsulated by the frame. In case of a fall or accident, the battery is automatically disconnected. The whole battery pack can be easily removed for service or replacement by first removing the "tank" and lifting it vertically with an engine lift.
How much power is too much? The Emrax 228 electrical motor was developed for electrical aviation as a lightweight yet powerful alternative to gasoline powered motors.
These motors have a peak power output of 109kw (146hp) yet a weight of only just over 12kg. If that is not enough, you can stack 2 of these together to achieve double the power, but that would just be silly, right?
Keep in mind that an electric motor achieve maximum torque from 0 RPM, which means that the only restriction on how fast you can go is your ability to keep the front wheel to the ground. Odin motorcycles will be fitted with an advanced anti-loop system that can be activated to avoid unintentional backflips.
Öhlins is the number 1 suspension manufacturer of suspension for motorcycles within aftermarket with over 300 motorsport titles.
They have developed and tested a unique street performance suspension for electrical supersport bikes, that takes into account the weight distribution of an electrical bike.
Öhlins Racing has been a cornerstone of the motorsport, motorcycle, and automotive industries for over 45 years.
